Had coffee at Brother Espresso at Windsor yesterday with a friend. This is my latest go to meeting place. Why?

Besides the obvious; it being handy, easy parking, friendly service and good food and coffee, it’s more than that and usually is for me. This cafe is housed in a relatively stand alone, purpose built structure (it is attached to a very small shop that is behind the red doors) on a busy suburban street. It has all the elements; brick, concrete, steel, wood. The ‘considered planting’ of succulents and grass is the perfect invitation to enter. Once inside the roof is low hanging which makes the space cosy and intimate, although there is an courtyard with a small selection of plants for sale, for those who like the light. Some of the seating is attached to the rendered walls like little nooks and whilst the seating is fairly close to each other, it doesn’t feel like you’re joining in the next table’s conversation.

As a fan of dark&cosy, brick&wood, unclutterred&minimalist, this place ticks all the boxes for me.
